Thank you for coming to visit my learning blog. This will be my last post because I am leaving waikowhai Primary. I have enjoyed using this blog to share my learning with you all. I hope you have enjoyed reading about my learning too.

I made my own DIGITAL BOARD GAME

My Class and I have started to make Digital Board Games. We used Google drawings to create the Activities and the board. It took a really long time when I made it I had to remake some questions and check back on somethings and had to look for a dice roller online. I had lots of ideas but then I had to take some of my Ideas out because it wouldn't match with the rest. James our Cyber smart teacher helped us make our Game.
                    
                   We did it to see what we have been doing in cybersmaart for the last couple of weeks. We have been learning about how to be safe online and what to do if we are getting cyber bullied.

Today for cyber smart we did Mapping. We put our info in the boxes about were we where born but no that much info. I was born in Auckland Hospital check if you can see a friend or family member in the map.

Amazing Term 3

Term 3

My Favorite thing this term was Tongan language week because I got to make my own Tongan tapa My design had a turtle on it with a BIG flower in the middle.

      

My less favorite thing was Cross Country I came last but everyone was cheering for me

Glorious Gymnastics

Waikowhai Primary school has been doing gymnastics for the past 8 weeks on Wednesdays.The coaches who taught us was Kylie and Kane the company was called Tri star. The learning positions are:


Statics:
statics means Trying to keep still or keeping balance.

Swing and Spring:
We got to go on our playground because most of the stuff on the playground is monkey bars because you can swing to the next bar to the next to the next.And spring is when we jumped on a spring board and landed on a mat.


Landing:
The landing part is about how we land in our motorbike shape.

Rotation:
For the rotation we did spinning around in the air for a whole spin or half a spin.


Locomotion:
Moving around.


Manipulation: 
Moving things with your body.

Art Festival

Last week the art festival took place in the Waikowhai Primary school hall with all of the classes art work's. Our class did Joiners one digital this joiner we made it in our Chromebooks and one physical joiner made by hand. Please have a look below and feel free to leave a comment.

What makes a good blog comment?

Today for cyber smart James taught us good commenting. We used a Padlet to join all our ideas and we watched videos that gave us clues.We edited our ideas with new info or took some words away.Have a look and don't forget to put these ideas in your comments.And leave a comment when your finish reading. Start of term 3 Cybersmart

Today during Cyber smart we reflected on our work that we wanted to change with more punctuation and more words and sentences to make my learning more interesting.My work I reflected on was my favorite things post. James shared a rubric with us for today.That helped us orginised our ideas

My Favorite things

Camp

This term we went to Muriwai Camp we had the experience to go on night  walks with no flash lights. We got in our colour groups to do different activities,I was in the group Crimson.We had to do chores especially on the last day and we had to pack all of our stuff.

This video is a tour of the camp kitchen, where we had to do chores and help with the food preparation. I did not record it, it was made by someone and posted to YouTube in 2009.

Bible 

This term we had Mrs Eden for Bible she taught us many things and read us stories like Joseph and his colourful coat.We did so many activities and acting games like charades.We made  coats with coloured paper for one of the activities, we did word searches and crosswords. About the story after the story time.

I can't wait to see what we do next term.
